Juliette Armanet, born on September 12, 1986, in Paris, is a French singer and composer who reinvents classic French chanson with rare sophistication. A graduate of Sciences Po Paris, she started in music at 30 with the EP Recto Verso (2016), followed by the album Petite Amie (2017), which brought her to public attention and earned her the 2018 Victoire de la Musique for Female Artist.
Strongly influenced by Serge Gainsbourg, France Gall and 1970s pop, Juliette Armanet offers elegant French chanson with polished arrangements and poetic lyrics about love, desire and melancholy. Her second album L’Éternité (2019) confirmed her roots in the great French chanson tradition, while Brûler le feu (2023) shows her in dazzling artistic form.
A regular guest on cultural programs and at the most exclusive festivals, she has become one of the most respected artists of her generation, by the general public and her peers alike.

Juliette Armanet has collaborated with Philippe Katerine, with whom she shares a taste for the absurd and French poetry. She has also worked alongside Benjamin Biolay and many musicians from the French chanson scene. Her live covers, notably of Gainsbourg classics, reflect her deep attachment to the French repertoire.
In 2022-2023, Juliette Armanet completed a full national tour, including several sold-out nights at the Olympia de Paris. She closed the Victoires de la Musique 2023 ceremony with a standout performance and has performed at France’s biggest festivals, from the Fête de la Musique to the Francofolies de La Rochelle.
