Waly Dia, born January 6, 1986 in Dakar (Senegal), is one of the smartest and most endearing comedians of his generation. Arriving in France at age 12, he forged a humor blending sharp social observation, autobiography and the absurd, brought to light by the Jamel Comedy Club.
His first show Incorrigible (2017) was a revelation: structured like a graphic novel, it paints a portrait of his generation with remarkable subtlety and intelligence. Et pourtant (2021) confirmed his rise with more personal, mature humor, exploring his French-Senegalese identity and his view of society.
A popular commentator and talented writer, Waly Dia is also recognized for the depth of his material and the precision of his social observation. He embodies a humanist, optimistic vision of contemporary French comedy.

Waly Dia was discovered by the Jamel Comedy Club and regularly works with Jamel Debbouze, Claudia Tagbo and the artists of that collective. He is also a writer and co-screenwriter for film and TV projects. His collaborations reflect his commitment to an inclusive, humanist vision of entertainment.
Waly Dia tours nationwide back to back, with packed venues in France and French-speaking countries. He is a regular on comedy festival lineups and in high demand for corporate events that appreciate subtle, good-natured humor.
