Niska, born Niska Okoye on December 17, 1993, in Corbeil-Essonnes (Essonne), is a key figure in French trap. He made his mark in the mid-2010s with a direct style and hard-hitting punchlines reflecting life in the housing projects of Île-de-France.
His debut album Charo Life (2016) made an impression with its authenticity and effective trap production. His success grew with Mr Sal (2017), certified gold, followed by Zehef (2019), which confirmed his place in the inner circle of French rap. His tracks “Réseaux”, “Charo Life” and “Freestyle Polka” have racked up tens of millions of streams.
Niska is especially known for his hard-hitting freestyles and his ability to fire up crowds with lyrics rooted in the everyday reality of the French banlieues.

Niska has collaborated with Ninho, Dosseh and Gambi on various mixtapes and singles. He belongs to a generation of rappers from Essonne who transformed the French rap landscape.
Niska regularly performs in major venues and at rap festivals. His concerts at the Zénith de Paris and at summer hip-hop festivals consistently sell out. He is especially popular for club nights and urban events.
