Born on January 30, 1992, in Creil, north of Paris, Cédric Matéta Nkomi, better known as Keblack, grew up between Creil and Nogent-sur-Oise in a family of Congolese heritage. He first got noticed on YouTube in late 2014 with Tout va bien, a piano cover of a John Legend song. The video spread quickly and drew public support from Maître Gims. Spotted by Youssoupha and his label Bomayé Musik, he went on to sign with Universal and released his first official music videos, Par milliers and Love, in 2015.
His breakout came in the summer of 2016: during the Euro, soccer stars Paul Pogba and Patrice Evra filmed themselves dancing to J’ai déconné, and the clip went viral. Right after, Bazardée became a hit certified diamond as a single. His debut album Premier étage (2017), certified gold, made the French top 10. It was followed by the double album Appartement 105 (2018), Contrôle (2021), recorded during lockdown, and Focus (2024), certified double platinum and driven by the hits Boucan with Franglish, a number one in France, Mood and Melrose Place with Guy2Bezbar.
His style blends rap, Afro melodies and pop textures, with hooks that connect with a very wide audience, from teenagers to thirty-somethings. On stage, Keblack delivers one song after another that the crowd knows by heart, making him a reliable pick for a corporate party, a festival or a private event looking for a festive, contemporary vibe.

Keblack has racked up standout features: L’histoire d’une guitare with Youssoupha, Walou with Niska, Orphelin with Aya Nakamura, Mi Corazon with Soolking, Je fais ma vie with Ninho, Pas permis with Dadju, Touché with Gims and Shayo with Heuss l’Enfoiré. His longtime partner Naza appears on many of his tracks, and Franglish shares Boucan and Génération impolie with him. He has also worked with Fally Ipupa and Kalash Criminel.
As early as 2017, he toured France, played the Printemps de Bourges and filled La Cigale in Paris. Summer festivals and lineups such as the NRJ Music Tour book him regularly. In spring 2025, he played the Zénith de Paris, a highlight of a Focus tour he considers one of the biggest of his career.
In 2025, Melrose Place earned him nominations at the Flammes awards, and he performed it with Guy2Bezbar at the NRJ Music Awards. In 2026, he guested on Star Academy, played the NRJ Music Tour in Compiègne and Haguenau, then released Energy, a joint album with Franglish. His first headline show at the Accor Arena in Paris is announced for March 25, 2027.
