Adila Sedraïa, known as Indila, is a French-Algerian singer and songwriter born on June 26, 1984, in Paris. After a decade behind the scenes as a backing vocalist and songwriter for other artists, she finally stepped into the spotlight in 2014 with her debut album Mini World. The record was a phenomenal success, driven by the singles “Dernière Danse,” “S.O.S.” and “Tourner dans le vide,” which topped the French and European charts.
Indila deftly blends Eastern, Arabic and Mediterranean influences with contemporary French pop, creating a unique and instantly recognizable sound. Her crystalline voice and poetic lyrics have earned her unprecedented international recognition for a French-language artist: “Dernière Danse” has racked up hundreds of millions of views on YouTube and has been translated into many languages.
A discreet perfectionist, Indila fiercely guards her privacy while maintaining a strong musical presence. She notably collaborated with Gims on “J’ai cherché” before focusing on her own career. Her deliberate withdrawal from the media only heightens the public’s fascination with her singular artistic universe.

Before her solo success, Indila worked as a backing vocalist and co-writer for many French artists. She collaborated with Gims on the track “J’ai cherché” (2015), as well as with Keen’V and other artists from the French pop scene. Her songwriting talent was recognized well before she became famous, with her melodies covered and adapted by artists around the world.
Since the release of Mini World in 2014, Indila has maintained a selective and highly sought-after stage presence. She performed at the Olympia de Paris in 2015 on a memorable night and has appeared on several major French TV shows. Her public appearances remain rare, which makes each one exceptionally valuable to event organizers and fans.
