Garou, born Pierre Garand on June 26, 1972 in Sherbrooke (Quebec, Canada), is one of the most popular and talented French-speaking singers of his generation. Discovered in France in 1998 in the musical Notre-Dame de Paris, where he played Quasimodo with overwhelming vocal power and emotion, he instantly became a star on both sides of the Atlantic.
His debut album Seul (2000) sold more than 2 million copies in France and Quebec. The singles “Seul” and “Sous le vent” (a duet with Céline Dion) are essential hits of French-language song. His raspy, powerful voice, his Quebec lumberjack charm and his romantic repertoire have made him one of the most beloved artists among French and Quebec audiences.

Garou has collaborated with Céline Dion on the hit “Sous le vent”, with Lara Fabian and many artists from the Quebec and French chanson scenes. His role in Notre-Dame de Paris connected him with the elite of French song.
Garou performs regularly in France and Quebec at the biggest venues. He is highly sought after for charity galas, gala evenings and events bringing together French-Canadian audiences or lovers of quality French-language song.
