Fary, born Fary Lopes on October 2, 1990 in Ivry-sur-Seine (Val-de-Marne), is one of the most talented and accomplished comedians of France’s new generation. The son of Cape Verdean immigrants, he grew up in the Paris suburbs and developed a humor that blends social observation, the absurd and a technical mastery close to American stand-up.
His first show Hexagone (2017) revealed him as an exceptional artist, with a sophisticated narrative structure and remarkably subtle observations on contemporary France. He was one of the first French comedians selected by Netflix for a two-part stand-up special: Fary Is The New Black (2018) and Zéro complexe (2020), available in 190 countries.
Fary stands out for his intelligence, flawless technique and ability to tackle sensitive subjects — racism, identity, integration — with disarming humor. He is considered one of the finest technicians of French-language stand-up.

Fary worked with Netflix France on his two stand-up specials. He has ties with the American stand-up scene and has rubbed shoulders with major figures of international comedy at festivals. His talent has earned him the admiration of his peers in France and abroad.
Fary performs regularly in major Parisian venues and on national tours. He headlines the most important comedy festivals in France and Belgium. His international profile and stage mastery make him an ideal choice for prestige corporate events.
