Eddy de Pretto, born on July 26, 1992, in Créteil, is a French singer and songwriter whose work explores identity, masculinity and resilience with rare candor. After studying at the Conservatoire National Supérieur d’Art Dramatique, he turned to music and released his debut EP Kid (2017), quickly acclaimed by critics.
His debut album Cure (2018) propelled him into the ranks of the most promising artists of his generation. With finely crafted lyrics and music blending electro, cabaret and French chanson, he tackles social pressure, virility and homosexuality head-on. The album was certified gold and nominated at the Victoires de la Musique in the Breakthrough category.
His second album À tous les barons (2021) confirmed his unique artistic path: politically engaged lyrics, sophisticated arrangements and disarming sincerity that have earned him growing critical and popular success. Eddy de Pretto has established himself as one of the sharpest pens in contemporary French chanson.

Eddy de Pretto has collaborated with Charlotte Gainsbourg on several artistic projects and shares her vision of socially engaged French chanson. He has also worked alongside Roméo Elvis and artists from the new Belgian and French scenes in various performances and recordings. His influence on 25-to-35-year-olds is considerable.
In 2022, Eddy de Pretto completed a triumphant tour of France, including several performances at the Olympia de Paris and the Élysée Montmartre. His concerts are renowned for their emotional intensity and the unique bond he forges with his audience. He regularly performs at major chanson and contemporary music festivals.
