Haroun, born April 18, 1978 in Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe), is one of the most original and talented comedians on the French-speaking scene. Of West Indian and Guianese descent, he draws on his dual culture — Caribbean and French — as the raw material for rich, funny and deeply human humor.
After starting out in small Parisian venues, he rose to fame through the Jamel Comedy Club and numerous stage appearances in Belgium (where he lived and performs regularly). His show Haroun (2014) was a triumph, followed by Haroun 2 (2018), which confirmed his place among the French-speaking public’s favorite comedians.
Haroun is especially recognized for his ability to address cultural and identity issues with lightness and intelligence, creating instant rapport with highly diverse audiences.

Haroun was discovered through the Jamel Comedy Club and regularly collaborates with French-speaking Belgian artists such as Guillermo Guiz. His dual presence on the French and Belgian scenes allows him to perform throughout French-speaking Europe.
Haroun performs regularly in France and Belgium. His warm, inclusive humor makes him a particularly popular choice for multicultural events, corporate galas and any occasion bringing together audiences from diverse backgrounds.
